Welcome to Jasland Turtle Ranch. We are a Central Florida ranch that cares for various species of turtles and tortoises, from the common Yellow-Bellied Sliders and Sulcatas, to the exotic Galapagos and Mata Matas. Our mission is to educate the public on turtle care and conservation through guided tours of our ranch, turtle encounters, and comunity events. We are a Class III Wildlife Exhibition Center through FWC.

Please note: We are not an animal rescue, so we do not take in animals.

Our Story

Jasland Turtle Ranch is a 501(c)3 charitable organization founded by Roland and Jasmine Nuñez due to their mutual interest in caring for and protecting turtles. What started off as one pet turtle eventually grew into 15 different turtles of varying species and sizes! After retrofitting our property into specialized biomes for both land and water turtle species, we opened our ranch to the public to experience turtles they may never otherwise see in their lifetimes. Roland and Jasmine advocate for an educated community, including responsible pet turtle care and informed decision-making to protect turtles of all kinds, whether that means helping a turtle cross the street or doing your research before committing to owning one of these amazing creatures.

Our Services

Guided Educational Tours

Book a guided turtle encounter at our ranch in South Leesburg, located less than an hour northwest of Orlando. This is a hands-on experience that goes far beyond a traditional petting zoo. Every visit is a private, expert-led tour where you’ll learn the realities of turtle care and how to protect them in the wild. During your 90-minute session, you will have the chance to hand-feed different species and decorate a custom turtle necklace or bracelet to take home. It is an unforgettable experience for families, friends, and coworkers of all ages.

Relaxation Destination

The ranch features several shaded areas and enclosed seating for you to enjoy as part of your booking. When you aren't on the guided tour, you are welcome to bring a lunch and soak in the quiet sounds of nature. Because we are situated next to a natural preserve, the ranch offers a peaceful, rural escape with very little traffic or noise.

Pricing

We offer a two-tiered pricing structure to accommodate both small families and larger groups. Our Small Group package is $100 for up to 6 people. For larger gatherings, we offer a Bulk Group package at $275 for up to 25 people. If your group exceeds these numbers, each additional person is $15. Children under 5 (below school age) are free and do not require a ticket.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you take in surrendered or injured turtles?

Jasland Turtle Ranch is an educational center and exhibit, not a rescue or sanctuary. To ensure the health and safety of our current residents, we cannot accept surrendered or injured animals from the public. We recommend contacting a licensed local wildlife rehabilitator or a dedicated reptile rescue for assistance with animals in need.

If we have less than 6 people, can we book a tour for less than $100?

To maintain a low-stress environment for our animals, we require a $100 minimum. Unlike self-guided petting zoos, your visit is a private, expert-led experience. This allows us to closely supervise all interactions for the safety of our residents while providing you with dedicated guidance through our reptile exhibit. This rate covers up to 6 guests, so feel free to bring friends or family along!

Do you have availability for tours or community events outside of your weekend hours?

The Turtle Ranch is a passion project managed alongside our full-time careers, so our standard availability is limited to weekends. However, we are happy to consider special requests or community events on a case-by-case basis.
